Truth: I wouldn’t bet on it. Just like women who claim not fighting a rapist is a better solution that fighting them (because they don’t want to make the rapist more angry), not fighting when your attacker continues to is totally misguided. An attacker is more
like to back off if they believe that you, their intended target, are going to continue to fight and cause them damage and be a real lion to tangle with.

Listen, many fights in the animal world are won just by bearing one’s teeth. The bigger the teeth and the roar, the less likely the other lion is going to fight. Even animals know when to back off and cut their losses.
