Newark Public Library

Tonight there were about 6 kids 10-14 olds years sitting down stair swearing, talking crap, and making racial slur. For about 45 minutes nothing happen. The librarians came over and talk once them once each (there were 2 librarian) in a very non -authoritative tone, with no consequences or call to action.

I finally had it when they started talking crap about Chinese people/restaurant in Lyons. I got up, told them to shut up, and get out of the library because they were creating an unfriendly environment. The minute I raise my voice to librarian came over, and tried to kick me out for raising my voice at these kids.

The kids were snickering, and were surprise at my indignation. They didn’t want to leave. I told them I was going to call the cop. So I got up, went to my cell phone and call 911.

After the kid left the librarian tried to kick me out for “screaming at the kids”. I told them I can’t leave because I called a police officer, and I need to stay until they show up

About 8 minutes later the cop came.

The police office came, took down my Driver License, and that is when the one of the librarian came out and told the police office that the director was on the phone, and that if he needs to talk to the director he can.

I told the police that the librarian wasn’t doing his job, and that it created an environment that was hostile, unfriendly, and unsafe for the patrons.

It just went back and forth for about 3 minutes. So I am officially kicked out of the Newark Library.

The librarian told me that I should have talk to them 1st. That is a major cop out. The conversation these kids have were loud, rude, and hostile. If you been to the Newark Public Library you would know that the Librarian can hear and see everything.

If I am a guest in your home, as host, you need to create an environment that is safe and friend for everybody.

I feel sorry for them, the environment that they create down is not safe. What has the world come to when you have kids swearing, telling racist joke, talking about sex on pornographic level. That is un-call for.

I will be writing an email to Library Board Trustee and Director.

I am very disappointed!!. Not because I got kicked out for doing what is right, and what the librarian should have done. but because they are creating an environment for the general public to go to.

Verizon Wireless Broadband - Bill Resolution

July 30, 2008 · Filed Under Bad business practice, Front Page, good business practice · Comment

I am glad that my billing resolution with Verizon has been resolved. I hate to be ripped off.

Good Morning Mong Phu,

Thank you for your reply. My name is Rachel and I am happy to assist you with resolving your data issue. I truly apologize for any inconvenience that this has caused for you.

As a consumer, I truly understand the importance of ensuring that you are billed accurately.

Verizon Wireless is committed to providing quality customer service. As a reflection of my commitment to you, I attempted to call you to personally resolve the issue with you. Unfortunately, I missed you.

There have been reported issues with specific versions of VZ Access Manager not accurately recording the data usage. Therefore, I have issued a credit for the entire data overage on your bill in the amount of $32.25. I have applied this credit to your 07/22/2008 invoice and you can check your updated balance by dialing #DATA from your wireless phone at anytime.

In order to resolve the issue, please check the version of VZ Access manager that you are using by opening VZ Access Manager and then selecting “Help” and “About”. You should be using 6.7.4. If you see any other version listed, please uninstall by going to your Control Panel and selecting “Add or Remove Programs” and then remove VZ Access Manager. Once the uninstall is complete, please restart your computer then click the link below to download the correct software.

Verizon Wireless Broadband

As some of you know, I work a lot on the computer. As a graphic/web designer I need access to the internet. I recently subscribe to the Verizon Wireless Broadband service. Due to where I live (I live in a rural area) I am not able to get high speed internet access.

What a surprise when I got my second bill!! I went over the allowed 5 gigabytes of usage a month. I am super piss, the VZAccess Manager Card that I use to connect to the Verizon Wireless Broadband indicate that I only use 3134.8 megabytes of usages. That is a huge discrepancy.

Check out the email I sent to Verizon Customer Service

This is BS, on my VZAccess Manager from June 23, 2008 to July 22, 2008 it shows 3134.8 mega bytes usage, and on my cell bill it shows 5249 mega bytes of usage, that is a huge discrepancy. I will now have to pay a $32.25. I understand there might be some inaccuracy. But for that match difference, that is a problem. If this is some kind of scam, I will complain to the BBB. I will post it on my blogs/website, and everywhere on the internet. And if this continues, I will file a complaint to Attorney General.

Mong

I am going to see what happen from here. More than likely they will give me a generic form replied. If that is the case, I will follow up with my treat, and also concern my service.
